The 2022 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences Memory of Alfred Nobel was awarded to Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond, and Philip H. Dybvig “for research on banks financial crises”. This article surveys the contributions three laureates discusses how their insights have changed way that academics policymakers understand roles crises.
